I purchased this as a book of review worksheets for my daughter, who had 4th grade math last year. She inherited my minimal tolerance and appreciation for math, and I noticed heading into the start of this school year that she could use some extra support at home reviewing and practicing concepts, so this is one of two books I purchased for that before we move on to review supports for the stuff she's going over this year.This book has 59 actual worksheets, the remaining pages are answer keys. There is a brief overview of the concept being covered on the worksheets, and their are some color illustrations on many of the pages, mostly ocean related scenes, with a bat, penguin, and toucan thrown in for some bit of variety I guess. She said she liked the illustrations, that they were fun without being too distracting. My angel is about 40% through all of the work pages in it. She says that she finds the review explanation to be good enough for the most part. I did have to help her understand one of the exercises for regrouping on page 21, I do think the first section of that page could have had clearer instructions as to what they wanted the kiddos to do, but overall I also think that the explanations are good. I also think the challenge level isn't too high...which is good if you have a kiddo who's more intimidated by math then the dentist. It covers the necessary basics for the grade level, I don't mean to give the impression it does not. I would just say it's not going to challenge a kiddo who loves, lives, and breathes math to reach for the next level of thinking about the materials covered.What I personally think this book is best for is review or additional practice, it is not comprehensive enough for overall 4th grade math instruction, but I also don't think it was intended to be. So for us, it's doing what I needed it to and she dislikes it less then many other math supports I've purchased over the years...

I have all of the School Zone math workbooks from Grade K through 6th, including the Fractions and Math Puzzles. For any child who needs brushing up on math, particularly during the summer, or extra help understanding a concept that was taught too quickly in a classroom, these books are easy to understand. As a homeschooling mom of a very "visual" learner, the color pages and fun examples make math less of a chore, and the workbooks can stand alone, unlike some workbooks where they are meant to be a worksheet to accompany a lesson from a textbook or other. These workbooks can be given to a child to do on their own, as the instructions are at the top of each page and an example. I have also found, while grading the work, that the answer key is predominantly correct. I have only found a few instances where the answer key is wrong, and it was only one answer or an entire row of answers was missing. Obviously, at this level, I am able to determine the correct answer myself.

Okay, I prefer these books as the "Deluxe Edition" (An I Know It ! Combo Book) for about $3, if you can find them. I gave this book 3 stars since I had previously purchased the Deluxe Edition at WalMart, and I ordered this for our younger son thinking it was the same book. Unfortunatley, this book has 30 pages of exercise where the Deluxe Edition has 59 pages. The "Deluxe Edition" allows 2x the exercies to help reinforce the math concepts. Here is a link to a Deluxe Edition version for a Grade 3 Math Basic book - Math Basics 3 (An I Know It ! Combo Book) Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have the Deluxe Edition of this Grade 4 Math Basic book at this time.I find these books to be good for reinforcement of the grade level material. Kids can easily finish this 30 page book in a week, and the 59 page version in a couple weeks. They aren't something you want to consider as a primary book for home schooling, or teaching the concepts, but they do make a good review exercise book. These books can be great for summer time to keep the concepts going even if they just do one page per day.For more extensive practice exercises, there are better books available on Amazon, but none are cheaper than this one. One series we like are the Kumon workbooks ($8/each):Word Problems Grade 4Grade 4 Division (Kumon Math Workbooks)Grade 4 MultiplicationGrade 4 Decimals & Fractions (Kumon Math Workbooks)Geometry & Measurement Grade 4 (Kumon Math Workbooks)Some other good books that Amazon sells which target specific math topics and give you lots of practice exercises are produced by Chris McMullen. Do a search in Amazon to find his books.If you are looking for just a supplemental taste of a few math exercises with a really low cost, then this Math Basic books will fit the bill (no pun intended). Also, there are some on-line math worksheet sites that allow printouts at no cost - look for Math Drills.

Basic math workbook. It has a couple examples at the top of the pages, showing kids how they should work out the problems. Multiply, divide, fractions, decimals...my 4th grade daughter's loves this math book. It has helped her get a little more practice and she's become more confident In those areas.

My child's teacher said she needed extra help in this area and this workbook helps her practice more so she can do the math problems easily and quicker at school and at home!

Problems a great; not too hard but not easy. I like that several pages cover the same concepts and build on the previous problems. I wish each new concept had more instruction/introduction. I've noticed some are just a couple sentences and the reader is on their on.

If you like the Strong's Concordance, then this could be a useful supplement. I wanted something compact that I could carry with me when I travel [I don't care very much for the electronic concordances that I have tried in the past]. I purchased this to use when I simply want to look up a Bible verse...and that is the key in determining whether or not you will like this: it is only a reference tool for finding Bible verses; its compact size is due in large part to the fact that the Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries have been eliminated from the volume. The only reason that I rate this at four stars instead of five is because it also eliminates a number of words that the editors feel the reader 'is not likely to use in searching'; I can understand not listing words like 'a, am, an, be, do, in, is, it', etc.; however, I think that too many significant words have been excluded, such as 'fathers, children, hand, hundred' and so on. However, even with these shortcomings, this volume is still both useful and convenient.

This little compact concordance boasts over 40,000 entries... which is both a plus and a minus. To give you a frame of reference, stack two VHS tapes, and that is almost exactly the size of this concordance. It is a little "thick," but it is paperback, so it is light. The definite "downside" is that in order to squeeze so many entries into such a small package... the font is amazingly small. So small in fact, that I printed out Gen. 1:1 on MS Word, and matched it to the font size in the concordance. The font size of this little concordance is 4.5 font!If you want to get some perspective on how small 4.5 is, do like I did, and copy Gen. 1:1 into your your Word Processor. Highlight the verse, then manually change the font to 4.5, then print the page. You will now see what you have to look forward to with this concordance.The font is so small that I have to take my glasses off (bifocals or reading glasses), and look at the page close-up. Nevertheless, I am okay with this when I am studying at home, since I often read without my glasses anyway. Furthermore, I ordered an additional concordance (also paperback) along with this one. It is the Strong's Handi-Reference Concordance (AMG Handi-Reference Series). Both books were "Used- Very Good" condition. I paid $.99 for the Nelson's, and $1.89 for the AMG. I will use the 4.5 font Nelson's at home, and take the AMG with me to Church.The AMG has approximately a 6.5 size font, which is almost 50% larger than the Nelson's. That is still small, but it is a lot easier on the eyes. I can read it without straining, and without having to remove my glasses. The AMG is slightly thinner, and slightly wider/taller.As I said, I got both very cheap, so I am happy with both. But if I had it to do all over, I would only purchase the AMG. It is amazing how much difference such a few points in font size can make.Additional Note: Both of these concordances are NOT exhaustive. Exhaustive (for those who don't know) means that the concordance lists every single Biblical occurrence of the word. As I stated at another review:"I am unsure how the editors choose which verses to include/omit, but the strength of a "Handi-Reference" concordance is that it is used for quick references (at Church, work, a Bible study, etc.), where you may be drawing a blank on a common or popular verse... but you can not remember where you read it. It is also helpful for people who need something a lot more in-depth than the concordance in the back of the average Bible... which, by the way, is also NOT exhaustive."

Compact, meaning it doesn't have "dictionaries" and other reference matter: just the way to find the major words in the verses of the bible. As it turns out, some of the references don't exist in all versions of the bible, which is interesting.

I love the fact that there is a compact version, I dont like relying on getting out my phone in church so this is great to have the option to pull out a smaller concordance. FYI the words are REALLY small

I use this concordance in my prison ministry. The ladies often ask a bunch of questions and I use this to guide them back to Scripture. Buyer beware: the font is TINY as it says. 5 point font is small. If you have poor vision, do not go for this no matter how compact.

This New Strong's Compact Concordance is excellent for my King James Version Bible. I find this Strong's Concordance to be very reliable since there is no corrupt Hebrew or Greek definitions.

Will Chloe reject him? Who is Cat? You really need to read this short story and find out what happens. I highly recommend it.Warning: This is intended for mature audiences.

This extremely short story had so much potential to be so much more. This could have so easily have been a four or even a five star read if it had been a full book instead of such a short story. Such an intriguing concept. Unfortunately, since it was so short, there was no time to flesh out the characters so we could get to know them and feel some emotion for and about them. So, for what it was, I consider it a 3.1 star = awful! want my money back!2 stars = bad but not horrendous3 stars = decent/good4 stars = really good! will probably read again.5 stars = excellent! definitely recommend and will definitely read again!

*WARNING* contains explicit adult scenesI first came across this little story in an anthology and was delighted to find it had become it's own little thing. I can't see much of a change in the two, however I still like Orglo very much. Just imagine that sort a parasite attaching to you. I know I'd be up for it! This little story is creatively delightful.

A pretty good sci-fi type short story about making choices. I like Sandra Neeley for the simplicity of her characters and the way she quickly gets to the point of the story. This was especially good because it was short while being entertaining and still making you think. Would I? Could I make the same decision? Great story!

It's a great short story, very well written. Both characters are quickly, but well developed.Excellent, sweet romance read that made my day, and I'm going to place on my "must read again" collection.Awesome to take your mind off everyday matters.It's made me curious about other books from the author.

Chloe is alone, lonely, landing on an abandoned space station to repair her ship. She does find a bit of company - a cat...and so much more.I like this. It’s an interesting concept. I can understand the fear generated by a being that seems to be parasitic. Both Orlgo and Chloe are alone and needing something the other can provide. The telling of their story is delightful and I really didn’t want it to end so soon!

I liked the story a lot, the only thing negative was it's short. I am not a fan of books that are less than 100 Page's however I am a fan of this author's writing so I gave this book a chance which I'm happy I did I would recommend 👍

Very good short story. I’ve read many of Sandra Neeley’s other novels and loved them, so I know this short story would have been a great full length book in her capable hands. Fast and sweet read.
