#5,115 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I don't like the main character. He's kind of a bitch. Also, the author tends to add more fluff to his stories than actual, meaningful content.

When I read the first book in this series I was absolutely in love with it, however in this book I am completely disappointed and I hope that the next book is better. My two main issue's for this book where first that the whole book is essentially used to develop the relationship between Sean, Myna, and Fiona. Other than developing a relationship not a lot of actual story happens and Daniel uses the same method through the whole book which is the group has an issue happen in a town, they leave the town aaaaand have another issue happen in the next town, rinse and repeat. Honestly this makes the book a bit lackluster compared to book one where Sean spend's his time helping, learning, and testing new skill's.My second issue and also what I think is a larger issue than my first issue would be the relationship between the trio. First I should say that I don't have an issue with the relationship itself but rather with how Daniel enacted the whole situation in this book. While in the first book Sean and Fiona spent a good part of the book getting to know each other and actually developing something and while Myna was introduced there really wasn't anything going on between Sean and Myna in book one. In book two it is explained to the reader that when a lifebonded and a holder create their bond they will eventually come to love each other if there is the slightest bit of interest between the two people. When this begin's to happen between Sean and Myna Sean flat out say's no because he is already in a relationship with Fiona which is ok however Fiona has little issue with this happening and even work's to bring Myna into the relationship, later on after Myna is brought into the relationship he refuses to sleep with both them together when the ask him to due to REASON'S. Now that I have the background information laid out my issue's with this situation is two-fold, my first issue is with Sean and his reluctance to include Myna even when he develop's feelings for her. When I was reading Alpha world (by Daniel for those who don't know) the mc their had an actual reason as to WHY he didn't want to be in a relationship with more then one woman and he even had to work at getting around his issues to even really consider the idea of being with more women at once. In this book Sean takes TWENTY SEVEN CHAPTER'S to actually start a relationship with Myna that he was avoiding due to..... reason's. Now the second issue that I had in this book concerning the relationship between the trio has to deal with the lifebond. As I stated previously Sean spend's twenty seven chapters pulling his crap together and to get over freaking out about being in a relationship with both Myna and Fiona HOWEVER in all that time that Sean is having issue's with being in a relationship and later sleeping with two women at the same time NEVER does he stop to freak out about the fact that the lifebond is brainwashing him into loving a woman he has no interest in at all at the start of this book.In total I think the book was ok in an overall sense and I will still read the next book in the series. I do think however that the overall plot in Life bond's was nonexistent beside's getting away from the starting town. On the other hand while I don't mind the relationship between the trio I think that the whole start up between the three of them need's to be redone or for Sean to have a better reason to avoid starting a relationship with Myna other than REASON'S.

We find Sean and his companions journeying through various towns causing all sorts of shenanigans. This book was a full on slice of life and while it didn't have the adventure of the first book, you really got to know sean, myna, and fiona. I loved the character building and the subtle hints at what is to come in the future for the 3. 5/5 hair clips, would wear again.

Daniel is one of my favorite authors. His books never disappoint, and always leave me wanting to have just one more chapter. With Life Bonds, he continues a more slow paced and sliceo of life novel in my opinion, which is a fantastic change of pace. Still plenty of action and development, and hints of a larger overarching story developing. Unlike some stories he's taking the time to develop the world and characters before plunging into a big thrill ride a minute story I think. Overall, I loved the book and honestly hope he takes his time developing the world.

The story starts were part 1 ended with Sean, Fiona and Myna on the run in the wilderness. Part 2 takes us through the next few weeks of that trip, showing us a bit of the world and the changing personal dynamics in the group. The story drew me in, finishing it one read. It makes me curious about the world and what is going on. Still, it is slow paced (to the point of it being slice-of-life) and there is a decent amount of personal reflection which migh not be for everybody. I still find the treatment of life bonded weird, although the true discrimination is against non humans and the shamed more than life bonded.I liked it, but I do hope we get to see some more plot growth in the next part.

why oh why dose it have to have a male who almost succumbed to an anime trope when two women loves him.I had to put the book down sevral times in pure annoyance. Was almost so bad i went and gave the book 2 stars and abandoned it.Thankfully i know the author do good work and pulled thrue it, even if it was annoyingly long bit forr what it was.The rest was mostly a joy tho, but i could not give it a 5 becausse of it.Some might like that part, i for one find t annoyingly unbelivable or stupid dogma hold way to hard as truth.

Book two has made the good better. The author processes a unique ability to tell a story. Life Bonds flows evenly and is crafted like a great movie in the 50’s and 60’s before special effects, when good movies had to depend on writing a dialogue. The Binding Words series has all of that. Great characters, wonderful interaction between them and a storyline that moves everything along. I’m hooked.

Almost as good as the first book. I personally felt that there was too much time spent on all the travelling and therefore not enough action, but then again the frequent stops in all the towns and villages made up for that. And it is just that, a person pinion, not a reflection on the book or the story. I am really looking forward to how the story unfolds for our reluctant heroes.
