Dr. Farrell tends to write some books in trilogies. This particular book, Genes, Giants, Monsters & Men which is the second in this particular series, would be the follow up to The Cosmic War, which he wrote previously to this.Farrell’s book, Cosmic War, which is intriguing in its implications and breathtaking in scope, laid the foundation for this particular series in a rather scholarly manner. In Genes, Giants, Monsters & Men Farrell continues his scholarly analysis into what the proceeding events after that particular war in antiquity took place.The author makes it a note of showing how there are two sets of descendants related to those who waged the Cosmic War. One side has made a stride to attempt to showcase history for what it is, while the other side not only manipulated historical events as they take place in trenchant and disturbing ways, but also is making a point to obfuscate real history in myriad ways.Throughout the book, Dr. Farrell showcases many historical oddities, and also some downright suppressions that have taken place throughout history. After listening to Mr. Farrell being interviewed and now reading this particular book of his, I have come to the conclusion that he is a silly man - albeit he is also a well-educated and knowledgeable man. Nonetheless, when an author puts in a long footnote in German, with the knowledge that most of his readers will be unable to translate it, and then does not do the service of providing the reader with an English translation, then I suspect a person who is out to impress the reader with his erudition and authority. But he is really only selling cosmic-war snake oil to the gullible. I am approaching "Genes, Giants, Monsters, and Men as strictly a work of fiction, from which I may learn some facts about which I can then follow up with better sources on the web and in books that don't have a cosmic warfare agenda. By the way, is there a difference between "a book of high speculation" (p. xvi) and one of low speculation? But this is just an example of Mr. Farrell's silliness. Mr. Farrell is no less than a con man who is having a blast churning out works of dubious value, doing interviews, and scoring patrons and patronesses to support his literary life style. If nothing else, Joseph Farrell's Medicine Show is high entertainment, as long as one does not take his "high speculation" too seriously.

While a bit dense at times, Farrell’s book is intriguing and unconventional. Farrell’s book is out-of-the-box thinking but it is good to expand your imagination occasionally. “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand,” said Albert Einstein.[I]f one reads certain ancient texts from Sumeria or India, one encounters over and over such characters, whether gods or men, engaged in a titanic struggle for power that ultimately resulted in a “cosmic war,” and its aftermath. Yet, if one is to believe the ancient stories, the monsters and giants and manipulations remained after that war was over, scattering themselves along with some of the technology by which it was fought, yet doing so with no consistency... implies a hidden agenda (or agendas) behind each version of the story (pg. xii).

Up to the quality I expected. Now whether you accept his work or not it is put together rather well and reads like an alternate history. So elaborate a world building that he could write all kinds of obvious fictions based on it.I can only speak of what I know and the Suruss looks nothing like the Iguanodon in any way from skull to tail. The Suruss looks like nothing normal to this normal evolution. Instead it looks like someone constructed their own guard animal, a chimera of mixed morphology and would have made for a formidable beast if one could create it. Marduk used them as we would guard dogs and under far more control than one saw in Jurassic World with the "velociraptors". These creatures were tame.It is definitely worth getting once you get started it is hard to stop till you get every one of them.

This was a well researched book that brought together informormation from many sources and put it all together to espouse a central theme about how humanity actually came to be here. It is a somewhat difficult read, but worth it. It really makes one think about our connections with the "Gods" and who they really were and how humans could have been possibly engineered by visitors from the stars.
